OBJECTIVE
Our aim was to solve a key problem of international online branding. Which means: dealing with a multitude of different websites. And even more different opinions on how to solve this razzle-dazzle. In one word: Strategy.
SOLUTION
Outlining the NIVEA brand identity for the internet, Fork developed the first NIVEA online presence in 1996 and has since then localized it for 48 countries. Our strategy was to unite all NIVEA subbrands and country versions under one umbrella. Also, we aimed to establish a balance between the central solution and local requirements, thus ensuring maximum efficiency (by creating one website and adapting it for more than 40 versions) and a globally consistent brand identity.
RESULTS
Due to our convenient in-house developed CMS the website can be easily and cost-efficiently maintained, quality-controlled and updated. Our online styleguide ensures a strong brand identity all over the world. Hence, the present international NIVEA Website is a perfect example of successful large-scale brand website internationalization.
