OBJECTIVE
Our task was to develop an interactive skin type test and advice tool for the NIVEA Men’s Care section. As men are considered to be less interested in skin care and less patient to undergo skin type testing than women we thought about a solution which explicitly meets their needs.
SOLUTION
With the Configurator men can quickly find out about their skin type and get their personal product recommendation. To lighten things up we designed an interface that borrows from game aesthetics both visually and acoustically. The modular application is based on a content management system and can be dynamically adapted to local assortments.
RESULTS
Just like other NIVEA advice modules the Men’s Care section adheres to the brand’s internationally homogenous internet presence with the Configurator successfully reaching out to men as an audience usually not attracted to cosmetic websites. So far, the application has been localized for more than 25 countries demonstrating the globally increasing significance of care advice for male consumers.
