OBJECTIVE
Fork was commissioned to realize the website for the ELTERNHAUS perfume MoslBuddJewChristHinDao, a new fragrance created by Mark Buxton (Comme des Garçons). Our task was to develop a visual concept based on the notion of a “Unifaith” scent uniting the essence of all world religions.

SOLUTION
We decided to create an interface which visualizes the semantic connections between ideas by cross-linking a host of specific words and letting them grow into a verbal tree of life. Kept in focus by the severe and monolithic packaging of the flacon, the layout adds an elegant dimension to the weighty issue.

RESULTS
Combining a coolly sublime design revolving around the product concept by ELTERNHAUS and the atmospheric sound design by artist Carsten Nicolai the website walks the thin line between art and product promotion. While perfectly capturing the fragrance’s essence it takes its ideology to the next (techno)logical step: the hyper-associative made possible by the internet.
