OBJECTIVE
Since 1996 Fork is responsible for the international NIVEA online branding, uniting all NIVEA subbrands and 48 local websites by one global strategy and brand identity. In 2007 we developed a full-scale relaunch of the international website based on an optimization of design, contents, technology and usability.
SOLUTION
Refreshing the website’s layout with haptic-looking gradients, generously sized visuals and other design elements we increased its visual and emotional impact. A highly differentiated colour system guides users and strengthens the NIVEA master brand and subbrands. Content related teasers provide the most suitable navigational options. The optimized new CMS includes state-of-the-art technologies such as a Ruby on Rails web application framework and a central image data base for easy maintenance and localization.
RESULTS
Global templates, standards and infrastructure ensure maximum cost efficiency and quality control for all local NIVEA websites. An online styleguide guarantees a consistent global brand identity for all NIVEA countries while leaving enough space for local requirements.
